-The flexibility of time schedule for the vaccination applies to both government and private hospitals.

-No 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. session for vaccination, it will be done 24x7.

The time restriction on covid vaccination has been lifted and the government has made it clear that people can get vaccinated as per their convenience. Vaccination is available 24x7. The Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Wednesday March 3rd that the government has lifted the time restriction for receiving the vaccine shot to increase the pace of immunization.

People can get vaccinated as per their convenience round the clock. The Health Minister tweeted that PM Modi values the health as well as the time of the citizens of the country. The Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said in a press conference that the timeline of 9 to 5 for the vaccination has been done away with and the hospitals can decide whether they want to continue to administer the vaccines after that. “If the hospitals have the capacity, the system permits to do so in consultation with the state government”, he said.

This applies to both government and private hospitals. All hospitals, private and government, are linked by the CO-WIN app and website and the flexibility of schedule allowed by the government is applicable to both.

It may be noted that the covid vaccine is free of cost in the government hospitals and private hospitals are allowed to charge 250/- . Anyone going for the vaccination must carry a photo-ID (Aadhar card) and those with co-morbidities must have a certificate issued by a doctor.
