COWIN Support Helpdesk has now been enabled to provide the Vaccination Certificate on your WhatsApp directly, without the need to log in to the COWIN Web Portal. You need to follow three quick steps to get the Vaccination Certificate.

This is quite a significant move as people travelling from one state to other need to produce the vaccination certificate based on the mandates put forward by the states. It will be an easy task for the people to download the certificates and show them to the concerned authorities. Here is the snap of the process

Step 1: Send a message "COWIN Certificate" to +91 90131 51515 from your registered mobile number, i.e. the number under which you registered your vaccination. An OTP will be sent to your WhatApp chat.

Step 2: A list of registered members will show on the Chat.

Step 3: You need to select the member for whom the Certificate is needed.

Certificates of all members registered under the mobile number can be downloaded in the same session.

The government’s initiative has been lauded by Shashi Tharoor who tweeted, “I've always acknowledged and praised the government when it merits it. As a critic of COWIN, let me say they've done something terrific. Send a WhatsApp message 'Download Certificate' to 9013151515, receive OTP and get your vaccination certificate back by WhatsApp. Simple and fast!”
