The strong winds on Wednesday afternoon created a terror at Udaipur railway station as one of the glass doors went flying at the platform no.1 injuring 3 people. It has been reported that the heavy glass door needed maintenance and was fixed in place with only 2 screws. The wind loosened up the screws and the glass door went flying with the frame and landed onto the platform.

Since it was raining, many passengers had taken shelter at platform 1. It was the schedule time of Holiday Express and it has barely reached the railway station when the incident occurred. 2 women and one child got injured. After the incident, railway engineers opened the other glass doors and placed them aside to avoid more mishaps. The injured were provided first-aid at the railway station and then rushed to MB Hospital.
