A tourist from Faridabad was in for a shock when he found that his car’s glass was broken and cash and mobile were taken away. The incident occurred at around 7:30 pm on Thursday near Mohta Park.

Resident of Faridabad, Anish was on a visit to Udaipur. He came here with his wife and one other couple. After visiting the various tourist spots in Udaipur, he went for shopping with everyone. He parked his Fortuner vehicle near Mohta Park on Thursday evening and went to a handicraft shop there. When he returned to the car after half an hour, he discovered that he had been robbed. Thieves had broken the glass and taken away 10,000 rupees, mobile phone and a bag of clothes.

He spoke to the shopkeepers of that area who in turn informed Hathipole police. It is really surprising that thieves have no fear and they managed to commit this theft despite the fact that Mohta park area is quite a busy area.

It may be noted that a young woman was robbed hardly 4 days back in a crowded area of the city. Administration needs to be extra vigilant in the city and police must be appointed in every locality and not just the tourist spots.
