Goa Nightclub Fire: 20 Staff Among 25 Dead
A late-night blaze at Birch by Romeo Lane in Arpora traps partygoers in smoke
Dec 8, 2025 –The nightclub fire in Goa’s Arpora area late Saturday night, has claimed 25 lives with a dozen others injured. Among the dead at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, five were tourists and 20 were employees working in the club’s kitchen. According to reports, all deaths occurred owing to suffocation. Four of the tourists were residents of Delhi and one was from Karnataka.
Reports say a cylinder blast in the kitchen caused the fire. Around 100 people were on the dance floor when it happened. On seeing the flames, they tried to escape. Some rushed down towards the kitchen and were trapped there along with the staff.
