Udaipur, September 24, 2024 - In a major update from the ongoing Army operations at Gogunda, two leopards have been caught in the cages set up in Chhali area leading to an atmosphere of joy and relief among the people.
The Forest Department had set up nine cages to capture the man-eater leopard which had killed three people in a span of three days. The Army also launched a major search operation six days ago using four drone cameras and night-vision binoculars. The killings had led to a sense of fear and panic among the people of neighbouring villages who demanded that the predator be captured immediately.
The administration is preparing to relocate the captured animals to a safe place.
