Gold and Silver Prices Crash After Diwali

Global markets witness record one-day fall in gold and silver

Udaipur, Oct 23, 2025 - Gold and silver prices have fallen sharply since Dhanteras and Diwali. Internationally, on October 21, gold prices dropped by 6.3%, marking the biggest single-day day decline in over a decade. Silver also recorded a 7.1% decline. Yesterday, on October 22,  gold in the international market fell another 2.9%, reaching a low of $4,004 per ounce. Silver too dropped by more than 2%, hitting $47.6 per ounce, though some recovery followed later.

As a result, prices in Indian bullion markets also declined, with 24-carat gold per 10 grams falling by Rs 3,200 to Rs 7,000. Markets across the country witnessed steep declines in gold and silver prices. Here, in Rajasthan, Jaipur witnessed a fall in gold prices by Rs 3,200 to Rs 1,28,000 per 10 grams, while in Indore it dropped by Rs 7,000 to Rs 1,24,000. Similarly, silver in Jaipur declined by Rs 8,500, reaching Rs 1,60,000 per kilogram, while in Indore it fell by Rs 11,000, settling at Rs 1,49,000.
