On July 9,2024, a golden-coloured eagle owl was added to the bird park in Gulab Bagh, Udaipur. With this addition, the park now has three species of owls. Previously, the park housed two species: the Barn Owl and the Spotted Owl.

This rare owl was rescued from Eklingarh Cantonment. It was found in an unhealthy condition under a tree. Dharmendra Panigar responded to the information and rescued the owl, bringing it safely to the bird park.

According to Panigar, the owl weighs around 1.5 to 2 kilograms. This species is very rarely seen. Deputy Forest Conservator of Wildlife Devendra Tiwari, Assistant Forest Conservator Ganeshilal, and other officials were present during this event.
