A long standing public demand of changing the time of Indore-Udaipur train from a day train to an overnight train is set to be met soon. Starting 15-Feb, 2019, Indore-Udaipur train will leave Indore at 5:40 pm and reach Udaipur at 5:25 am.

Indore Udaipur train currently leaves Indore at 7:20 am and reaches Udaipur at 7:20 pm.

Public was not happy with the timings of this train which started in 2010. This change in schedule was being demanded since the past 8 years. Members of various communities including Paliwal Brahman, Gari, Gurjar, Kumawat, Prajawat, Giri Goswami along with members of Rajasthani community had written hundreds of letters to officials demanding this change.

Taking cognizance of public request, Sumitra Mahajan, MP from Indore had declared a push for change in timing about a year back. Finally, the change is set to happen.
