Govt. Urges Media to Avoid Live Coverage of Defence Ops

Udaipur, May 10, 2025 - The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has advised media channels to refrain from live coverage of defence operations. Keeping national security in mind, the Ministry has appealed to all media platforms to report responsibly. An advisory has been issued to all media channels instructing them to avoid live coverage of defence operations and activities of security forces.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urged mediapersons to exercise caution, sensitivity, and responsibility in their coverage. Yesterday, May 9, Vaishnaw interacted with senior editors from the print media and urged them to refrain from relying on unverified sources for information related to the conflict. He reiterated that the action by the Indian Armed Forces was against terrorism and not any country or community.
