Registration for Haj 2022 begins 1 November, after a two year hiatus

The Haj Committee of India has announced the registration dates for Hajj Pilgrimage 2022 (1443Hijri). Accordingly, persons wishing to proceed for Hajj in the year 2022 will need to register themselves before 31 January 2022. The registration process has commenced from today, 1 November 2021. Applications can only be made online on http://hajcommittee.gov.in and through HCOI Mobile App. Registration fees have to be deposited online.

As per the circular, the Hajj 2022 Pilgrimage will take place under special circumstances with special norms, rules and regulations, eligibility criteria, age restrictions and fitness requirements as mandated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amid the COVID-19 situation. The entire process of Haj Applications is provisional subject to the final guidelines of KSA. Applications can be filled by the applicants themselves or through Haj Suvidha Kendra in their state / city.

Regulations:

  • Age limit: 65 years
  • Cover Size: 5 maximum
  • Haj Journey: 36-42 days
  • Ladies without Mehram: 45-65 years
  • Ten embarkation points for departure of pilgrims
  • No provision for NRIs due to COVID-19
  • Advance Haj Amount: Rs. 81,000
  • Machine Readable Passport validity: 31 December 2022
