Udaipur, January 25, 2025 - Hamas has released four Israeli female soldiers in exchange for 200 Palestinian prisoners under a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The prisoner swap is the second exchange as part of the ongoing six-week truce. The released Palestinian prisoners include long-serving inmates and those with lengthy sentences.
Since the start of the conflict on October 7, 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in over 47,283 Palestinian deaths and 111,472 injuries. Hamas-led attacks on Israel on the same day killed 1,139 people, with more than 200 taken captive.
