The highly anticipated Hariyali Amavasya Fair in Udaipur, scheduled for August 4 and 5, 2024. The fair is organized by Udaipur Municipal Corporation and preparations for the event are already underway. The fair attracts not only city residents but also a significant number of tourists, including foreigners.

Stalls Allotment Through Online Tenders

A meeting was held at Municipal Corporation on July 9,2024. It was decided that on August 5,2024 only women’s entry will be allowed.  Online tenders will be invited for stalls and shops spanning from Fateh Sagar to Saheliyon Ki Bari, and from Saheliyon Ki Bari to Dewali. Following a successful trial last year, shops and stalls will be allocated through online tenders.

Preparations Underway

Preparations estimate more than 705 temporary shops and over 12 rides, with Arvind Jaroli, chairman of the corporation's revenue committee, overseeing arrangements. Mayor G.S. Tank and Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi will provide specific instructions for temporary rides and stalls setup locations.

Cultural Programs 

Highlighting the fair will be cultural programs including Kalbelia dance, Ghoomar, Rajasthani dance, and various rhythmic performances. This year's cultural program stage will be 8 feet tall, ensuring visibility from afar.
