Heavy Rain lashes Udaipur region, Pratapgarh receives maximum
Several areas of Udaipur district also drenched away with heavy to moderate rain with highest 962mm rain received in Som Pickup wear while Udaipur city (298mm), swaroop sagar (300mm), Gogunda (369mm) recorded from 8am of August 11 to 8am of August 12.
Heavy rain lashes many parts of the Udaipur region with maximum number of rainfall recorded in Paratapgarh area with 1052mm rain received in last 48 hours (Thursday- Saturday).
Several areas of Udaipur district also drenched away with heavy to moderate rain with highest 962mm rain received in Som Pickup wear while Udaipur city (298mm), swaroop sagar (300mm), Gogunda (369mm) recorded from 8am of August 11 to 8am of August 12.
However, very little rainfall has been received in last 24 hours in Udaipur (15.2mm) district, as per the report generated by city irrigation department.
As per today, the weather remains pleasant with heavy clouds covered the southern west parts of Rajasthan. Though, rainfall remains low down till early afternoon in Udaipur city.
Many small and big dams and water canals started overflowing including dams of Jhadol, jogibad, som kagdar, semari and manpur touched the top level.
According to weather department more rain with thunderstorm is expected in coming week in Udaipur and nearby areas.
