Chunni Lala Garasiya, Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan, brought up the matter regarding establishment of a High Court Bench in Udaipur.  He demanded that a virtual High Court Bench be set up at Udaipur.

MP Garasiya said that despite Udaipur division being declared a tribal dominated area and TSP area, the people of the area have to go to Jodhpur for justice. This is both  a time consuming and expensive exercise as Jodhpur is at qiute a distance from Udaipur. Addressing the Chairman, he brought to the notice of the Law Minister of the Government of India that there has been a demand for setting up a bench of Rajasthan High Court at the division headquarters for many years. This demand has been made by the general public and Bar Council of the division for the last 37 years, he added.
