After waiting for more than 2 weeks, Himmat Singh Bahrath, the former Project Manager of Scheduled Caste and Tribe has been appointed as new Commissioner of Udaipur Municipal Corporation.

HImmat Singh officially took charge as Commissioner on 22^nd July, however since Monday was declared holiday in the Corporation, Bahrath joined his new appointment from Tuesday 23^rd July.

Soon after taking charge of his new post, Commissioner became face to face with the prevailing encroachment problem, where residents of Gokul Nagar came up with a memorandum in respect of orders issued by Corporation.

Himmat Singh, interacting with local media said, “I was well aware of the ever increasing encroachment problem of city and the functioning of corporation as well; I will definitely put my efforts to minimize such illegal activities”.
