The enchanting melodies of 23 rd edition of Smritiyaan continue to echo in Zinc City as the curtains draw on yet another mesmerizing musical evening at Shilpgram, Udaipur. The musical concert was organized by Pandit Chaturlal Memorial Society in collaboration with Vedanta’s Hindustan Zinc. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Tabla Wizard, Pandit Chatur Lal.

The evening commenced with the soulful performance of Jal Tarang, a vanishing instrument, whose emotive melodies captivated the audience, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey through the realms of music. The highlight of the evening was the captivating performance by Brahmand, an avant-garde musical ensemble led by Pranshu Chatur Lal. Brahmand's fusion of Indian classical intricacies with modern improvisations transcended with the audience, leaving them spellbound.

Reflecting on the musical concert, Mr. Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, said, "Smritiyaan celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian classical music, reminding us of its timeless allure and universal appeal. Music has the power to unite hearts and bring people together. The grand finale featured a captivating jugalbandi by Padma Bhushan – Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt and Tantri Samrat Pandit Salil Bhatt, accompanied by Pranshu Chatur Lal on Tabla. Their dynamic rendition of classical nuances reaffirmed the timeless appeal of Indian classical music, leaving the audience awestruck.

The success of Smritiyaan owes much to the unwavering support of companies like Hindustan Zinc who have been associated with ‘Smritiyaan’ through their CSR initiatives for many years now. Other key contributors to this program are Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Limited, GAIL India, NTPC, Rajasthan Tourism, Pride Hotel, and West Zone Culture Centre.
