Udaipur 5 th May 2033: Hindustan Zinc, under its Jeevan Tarang program organized “Paint for Joy” a volunteering program to connect and strengthen the bond between Hindustan Zinc’s employees, business partners and other community people with the extended family of Jeevan Tarang’s special students. Aligning with the theme of ‘Earth Our Home & Taking Care of Biodiversity,’ more than 400 special students and Hindustan Zinc volunteers showcased their brilliant strokes at the program, conducted across 3 operational areas of Hindustan Zinc.
The students through their paintings depicted their concern towards the alarming issue of pollution and further gave a strong message of the need to protect the environment. As a step to celebrate and recognize the creativity of the students, the paintings were then displayed on the craft gallery in the respective schools. The entire program was conducted in three phases covering three locations: Mook Badhir Senior Secondary school, Ajmer, Mook Badhir Senior Secondary school, Bhilwara, and Abhilasha Vidyalaya, Udaipur.
Hindustan Zinc’s Jeevan Tarang Programme was launched in 2017 with the purpose of assisting people with disabilities to become contributing members of their families by completing their educational requirements. The approach has successfully improved the learning capacity of over 700 children with visual and auditory-hearing impairments. Over 100 visually impaired children have received technology training, including instruction on how to use DAISY players, smartphones, computers, Microsoft Office, and software to access online learning content. A specific curriculum has taught Indian Sign Language to over 600 kids.
