In a finding of historical significance, remains of an ancient fort have been discovered in Chandravati area of Abu Road. The remnants were discovered through a joint effort of Department of Archeology, Rajasthan and History & Sanskrit Department, Shramjeevi College, Udaipur.

In a finding of historical significance, remains of an ancient fort have been discovered in Chandravati area of Abu Road. The remnants were discovered through a joint effort of Department of Archeology, Rajasthan and History & Sanskrit Department, Shramjeevi College, Udaipur.

Dr. Jeevan Singh Kharakwal, Vidyapeeth informed that remains of a large fort have been discovered during excavation in the region. The fort is constructed with bricks and has walls with around five meter width.

“Remains of King’s palace have also been found. The fort entrance is about seven feet in width and the fort is spread over 2,500 square meter”, he added.

The remains were traced in the center of Chandravati region.
