Holiday declared for 1st August for Hariyali Amavasya

On the occasion of Hariyali Amavasya which is on 1st August, a holiday has been declared by District Collector Anandi. Preparations are on for the mela that is held every year on Hariyali Amavasya wherein people enjoy a lot. Around 500 stalls have been auctioned for the areas of Saheliyon ki Bari to UIT, UIT to Fatehsagar pal road, Fatehpura to Devali end of Fatehsagar and Sukhadia Circle to Saheliyon ki Bari road. Roller coasters, swings and other such equipments are being installed at UIT parking area, area opposite Soni Hospital, UIT Bridge and Devali corner.

Entry will be free in Moti Magri for 2 days until 6:30 p.m. Tobacco, gutkha, paan masala, smoking and use of plastic has been prohibited in Moti Magri. A mela will also be organised at Amarchandiya talab pal. Cultural programmes will also be held during the mela.
