Construction work for four lane route between Udaipur-Rajsamand was halted yesterday when localites resisted further work on the project.

The issue came up when because of the blasting done by team to make way, the houses near the radius of blasts received cracks and minor damages. Responding to these, angry localites of Jhalon ka Guda village, resisted the project work and demanded compensation.

Localites also informed that, previously in same blasting process a young man was injured when a house received damage in the process. That time, on the resistance of localites, the contractor talked to the residents and work was reseumed.

Yesterday, residents refused to move even an inch and repeated that work will resume only when they will receive compensation for their losses.
