The city Hotel Association presented a memorandum to the District Collector today, against the 800+ notices issued by Pollution Control Board on the account of installing STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) individually in Hotels.

Dheeraj Doshi, Vice President, Hotel Association said that the CSTP (Central Sewage Treatment Plant) for City will anyways be installed as Hindustan Zinc has already begun working on the same under the joint venture of Rajasthan Government and Rajasthan Pollution Control Board. Apart from this, forcing individual hotel owner to install STP is not feasible because every corner of the city do not have proper sewage water line.

The memorandum reads that the notices issued by Rajasthan Pollution Control Board should be cancelled. It also adds that needed action should be taken to install proper sewage water lines in the areas where required, so that people can be benefitted from the CSTP project.
