A hotel employee drowned in Rangsagar late night on Wednesday.

40 year old Vana Ram Meghwal s/o Gulab Meghwal lived in Chandpole in a rented accommodation. Vana Ram was an employee of Poonam Haveli Hotel in Chandpole. Probably he was on his return home after duty hours around 10 p.m. on Wednesday when the incident occurred.

Vana Ram’s body was seen floating on the lake by the public. Police were informed and divers were called for. Diver Chotu Lal, Giri Raj, and Pratap Singh reached the lake and took the body out. Vana Ram was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead by the medical staff. Police is investigating the matter to find out the causes behind Vana Ram’s drowning. His body has been kept in MB Hospital’s mortuary.
