Hotel Oberoi Udaivilas is one of three hotels in India that have made it to the Condé Nast Traveller “Best Hotels and Resorts in the World: The 2019 Gold List”. The other Indian hotels in the list are Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and The Leela Palace New Delhi.

The Gold list by Condé Nast Traveller lists the top hotel properties in the world to stay at. A total of 78 hotels have made it to the list. The properties span 36 countries across 6 continents.

While listing these hotels in the Gold category, Condé Nast Traveller says that the properties are “Gold as in classic. Gold as in brilliant. Gold as in you’d do it all tomorrow.”

In describing Udaivilas, the site went all out in their praise of its Rajput era craftsman ship, thikri mosaics, miniature, candle room with thousands of pieces of mirrored glasses amongst other things. However, the site noted that the most impressive thing of all was the excellent staff treatment making it the most spectacular place to stay in the most romantic city of India.

It comes as no surprise that two of the three properties listed in India played host to two of the most talked about weddings in the country this year. While Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas exchanged wedding rings at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur; the pre-wedding sangeet function of Isha Ambani was hosted at Hotel Oberoi Udaivilas.
