Housing Board Offers 142 Flats from Rs 11.68 Lakh in Paneriyon Ki Madri
Application submissions opened from August 20 and will be accepted until September 20, 2025
Udaipur, August 21, 2025 – Rajasthan’s Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Minister Jhabar Singh Khara inaugurated 667 residential units under new housing schemes by the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) in Udaipur and four other cities.
667 Flats and Independent Houses
The Rajasthan Housing Board has shifted its focus from major cities to smaller towns located nearby, taking a step forward toward expanding urbanisation. On Wednesday, the UDH Minister launched new housing schemes for various income groups in Paneriyon ki Madri (Udaipur district), Atru (Baran), Nainwa (Bundi), Langera (Barmer) and Bari Road (Dholpur).
Housing Commissioner Dr Rashmi Sharma said the schemes include options for both flats and independent houses, offering affordable, safe and quality housing to families in the EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Low Income Group) and Middle-Income categories.
In Paneriyon ki Madri (Udaipur), the scheme includes 142 G+3 flats for EWS and LIG categories, starting at a price of Rs 11.68 lakh.
Application submissions opened from August 20 and will be accepted until September 20, 2025.
Identification of Acquired Land
The UDH Minister informed that the Housing Board is now marking all the acquired land parcels, addressing issues like encroachments or legal disputes so that these can be resolved quickly and better residential facilities can be provided. Currently, five schemes have been launched in towns near major cities and new projects will soon be introduced in Jaipur as well.
Throughout this financial year, new residential and plot development schemes will be introduced across the State in areas where housing demand exists.
Development of Towns Near Big Cities
The Minister added that with the rapid population growth in major cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur and Bharatpur, small towns within a 50-60 km radius will be developed to ease the housing burden.
These towns will be connected to the cities with improved transport infrastructure and other amenities so that people commuting for work or trade can return to their homes the same day. This move aims to reduce the number of people sleeping on pavements and curb the growing trend of slum settlements in recent years.
A major proposal has already been submitted to the Government of India, and it will soon be presented to the Asian Development Bank. A master plan is being prepared to revamp numerous towns with an estimated budget of Rs 12,500 crore.
