The COWIN site allows changes for upto any two details, viz. Name, Date of Birth, Gender.

"Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your Cowin vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in", the official handle of the Aarogya Setu app tweeted on Wednesday.

The CoWIN Vaccination certificate will be a mandatory document for travel anywhere – be it within the country or overseas. Hence if you see any errors in your Name, Year of Birth or Gender in the certificate, you can make changes to in online.

These are the steps you need to take to make the permitted amendments to any erroneous information on the COVID Vaccination Certificate.

Step 1: Login to the COWIN Application (https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/)
Step 2: Enter the mobile number that has been registered against your vaccination and enter the OTP that is generated
Step 3: You will get the following screen with the names and details of the members registered on this mobile number.

Step 4: Click on “Raise and Issue” and you will get the screen as shown below.

Step 5: Select the name of the person for whom you want to make the change. (Permitted changes are: Name, Year of Birth and Gender). You can make changes to any two fields.

Step 5: Make the changes in the following screen and Continue.

The Certificate will be updated with the relevant amendments.

Those who have got the single dose of the vaccine will get a single blue border with vaccination status on their home screen along with Aarogya Setu logo with a single tick.

After 14 days of the second dosage, a double-tick 'Blue Shield' will show on the application for those properly vaccinated. After the CoWIN vaccination status is checked, the double tick will display.
