Eat and be merry…this goes well with some thieves who robbed a house in Sukher and even relished snacks lying in the kitchen. This is the third theft in the last 2 weeks in Sukher area. This time the thieves had a party time in the house they robbed.

The incident took place in Garib Nawaz colony near DPS School in Sukher area. The thieves not only stole valuables but also filled their stomachs with snacks like biscuits and namkin lying in the kitchen. Even the neighbours did not get to know that the house was being robbed.

Junaid Khan, the owner of the house, was away for a wedding function with family since Friday. When the family returned on Sunday evening, they found the main gate of the house broken and lights of the house were left on. All the belongings were scattered in the house and cupboards were left open. Even bits of eatables in the kitchen were found which proves that the thieves enjoyed ample time in the house.

Gold ear rings, 4 pairs of silver anklets, a tab and 3 thousand rupees in cash were taken away. Sukher police have started investigations in this matter. What is really surprising that the neighbours did not even get a hint of a robbery happening next to them.

Residents of the colony are agitated with this since this is the 3^rd robbery in the last 2 weeks. People are irritated that police isn’t alert about it despite all the thefts that occurred in the last one month. Even in Hiranmagri, 9 houses were robbed in just one night. Thieves do a good recce of the areas and target lone houses with expertise. Even VIP colonies have faced thefts and the culprits are still out of reach. People have started questioning the position of police.
