The City of Lakes, Udaipur is all set to stand testimony to one of India’s biggest management fests amidst the scenic Aravalli hills of Balicha. IIM Udaipur in association with Secure Meters, is all set to organize the fourth edition of its annual management festival, Solaris 2018 on 3^rd and 4^th of November.

Solaris is a two day long extravaganza of wit, learning and knowledge: witnessing top industry professionals coming together to seminate knowledge with the student community. Various student-driven bodies of IIM Udaipur join their hands to come up with an energy pumped fest hosting talks, panel discussions, events, competitions and workshops all lined up on both the days.The event is completely driven by the students of IIM Udaipur, right from conceptualization to execution, generously supported by our sponsors. Solaris has joined hands with giants like Secure Meters as the title sponsor, Hindustan Zinc as the summit sponsor, Big FM as the radio partner, Inder Residency as the hospitality partner, Fortis Hospital as the health partner, Choudhary Printers as the printing partner,PlatterzZ as the snacks partner and Amul, Grab On, Rishabh Travels, SBI Foundation along with Pyrotech Electronics as associate sponsors. The event will consist of six major management summits with focus on leadership, economics, analytics, consulting, operations, finance and marketing.

The organizations of today are withstanding the challenges posed by an ever-changing environment while also adapting to new-age technologies like AI, 3d printing, AR,block chain etc. Keeping this reality in mind, the theme of this year’s edition of Solaris is ‘Resilience and Adaptability’.

The Leadership Summit:

Solaris 2018 would kick off with its flagship event– the Leadership Summit, organized by the Media and Industry Interaction Cell (MiiC) of IIM Udaipur. The Leadership Summit will be hosting industry tycoons from varied domains coming together to inspire the audience with their decades of corporate experience in retail, technology solutions, media, smartphones, telecom etc.

The summit will witness dignitaries such as Mr. Lalit Agarwal (CMD, VMART), Mr. Sanjay Tripathy (Co-Founder & CEO, Agilio Labs),  Mr.Vikesh Wallia (Director General (West)- Institute of Directors) and Mr. S. Rajesh (CEO Rajasthan, Jio)

Antardrishti – The Economics Summit:

The Leadership Summit will be followed by the business conclave – Antardrishti, organized by

PiE, the Economics Club of IIM Udaipur. This would serve as a platform to discuss contemporary macroeconomic factors affecting India, and their interplay with global, economic and financial circumstances. The theme for this summit is ‘Policies for a resilient economy’.

The summit will see luminaries such as Mr.Abheek Barua (Chief Economist and Executive Vice President, HDFC) and Mr.Tamal Bandyopadhyay (Adviser, Strategy & Consulting Editor, Bandhan Bank, Business standard)

Anveshan – The Analytics Summit

Anveshan is organised by Technalytics – The IT and Analytics Club of IIM Udaipur. This summit would be held under the aegis of the theme ‘Business Analytics leveraging resilience in organizational processes’. The summit aims to create, idea, build, and simulate the sense of data and the wide impact it can create in the business world through a series of guest lectures and Q&A sessions.

Eminent speakers such as Mr. Nitesh Ambuj (Head of Analytics and New & Emerging Areas, Ericsson) and Mr.Shanti Swaroop (Head – Data Analytics & Market Intelligence, Global Procurement, Abbott) will grace this event with their presence.

Unmesh – The Consulting & Operations Summit

The second day of the management fest will commence with the Consulting & Operations Summit which is conducted in collaboration between SKEIN – The Operations and Supply Chain Club of IIM Udaipur, and Consult U – The Consulting Club of IIM Udaipur.The theme for this summit would be ‘Supply Chain Resilience and Value Chain Adaptability’. Unmesh brings forth industry stalwarts and renowned speakers to a common stage to share their valuable knowledge, experience, and insights on the mitigation and contingency strategies for managing the radical changes in the industry.

Industry experts such as Mr. Mukesh Ralhan(Head – SCM Strategy & Operations – Mobility & Enterprise, PAN India, Vodafone India), Mr. Zubin Poona walla (Consultant – Tata Group), Mr. Amit Agarwal (Vice President & Head of Supply Chain, Jubilant Industries Limited) and Mr. Gulzar Azad (Country Head – Connectivity, Google India)

Arth-Samvaad – The Finance Summit

Unmesh will be followed by the Finance Summit – Arth-Samvaad, the flagship event of Finomina, the Finance Club of IIM Udaipur.This summit would be held under the theme of ‘Financial Strategies for building a Resilient Organization’. Through the medium of a panel discussion, Arth-Samvaad aims to unleash the major financial issues that have caught the attention of people worldwide that have been affecting the global markets regularly.

Samvaah – The Marketing Summit

The concluding summit of this managerial extravaganza would be Samvaah – the Marketing Conclave,organized by Marclan – the Marketing Club of IIM Udaipur.

The summit is a highly prestigious platform graced by marketers who have been instrumental in upsetting the age-old marketing practices or have an uncanny eye for identifying new marketing avenues. The theme for this summit would be ‘Survive and Thrive: adapting to changing trends’ aimed to bring out how the top marketers find their way around the uncertainty the 21^st century brings with it.
