Udaipur, March 3, 2025 - Illegal commercial activities and constructions have been discovered in the Sajjangarh Eco-Sensitive Zone. A team has identified unauthorized hotels, resorts, farmhouses, and planned developments in the area.
The eco-sensitive zone includes nine to ten villages where land is classified as agricultural in the UDA records. The investigation is being carried out in Badi, Hawala, Hawala Khurd, Sisarma, Kudiayat, Chikalwas, Nathawaton ka Gurha, Thoor, Morwaniya, and other villages. Many new residential buildings are also under construction in these areas.
According to UDA officials, land brokers have developed large-scale unauthorized plots in agricultural zones, green zones, and unregistered lands. These illegal constructions violate environmental regulations. Officials are collecting documents related to new constructions, farmhouses, and commercial properties while excluding old residential areas. The UDA team has also gathered copies of documents for further investigation.
The eco-sensitive zone extends from 250 meters to 5 kilometers, covering a total area of 28.7 kilometers. A detailed report is being prepared, and legal actions will be taken against unauthorized land developments.
