Illegal liquor being smuggled to Gujarat has been seized by Kherwara police. As per reports, the seized liquor is worth 20 lakh rupees.

Liquor was being smuggled to Gujarat hidden under bags of soap stone. Kherwara police was on its regular duty at the check posts when they got news from an informer that liquor was being smuggled to Gujarat. Police saw a truck coming from Udaipur side heading towards Gujarat. They followed the truck when the driver tried to escape by over speeding.

The truck was finally stopped and the driver arrested. There were 350 cartons of liquor hidden under bags of soap stone. The driver revealed that the smugglers from Haryana wanted him to transport this liquor to Gujarat and asked him to contact the other smugglers at Gujarat border. Police is trying to find details of the people involved in this case.
