In an income tax raid in Udaipur, documents of undeclared assets worth 17 crore rupees were discovered from a businessman’s house. All documents have been taken in custody by the IT department.

On Tuesday, the IT department raided businessman Kunj Bihari’s residence at Sukhadia Circle. Income tax department received information about a disputed land and visited the businessman’s house. They recovered documents regarding undeclared assets from his place. It is reported that some of the businessmen fiddled with the stamp duties while selling this property. The owner mentioned the cost of land much below than the DLC rate in an attempt to hide the undeclared assets.

The raid was carried over under the direction of M Raghuveer, Joint Director of Investigation Wing of IT department. The process began on Monday and continued till Tuesday. All the documents pertaining to anonymous lands have been taken in custody by the IT department teams.

It has been reported that businessman Kunj Bihari surrendered property worth 17 crore rupees after the raid. As per IT sources, a dispute is going on between 2 parties regarding this anonymous land in Ambamata police station.
