Leopards frequenting the city areas has become quite a common happening since the past few months. There has been an increase in the leopard movement in MPUT premises.
On Thursday night, a leopard was spotted once again in MPUT premise. Though there have been no reports of leoprad attacks in this area, yet the frequent visits of the beast are an obvious cause of terror.
Forest department has alerted the students residing in the hostel of MPUT premise. The students have been asked to stay indoors post 7:30 p.m. as the wild beasts move out during dark in search of prey.
The teams of forest department have installed a cage to trap the leopard and are keeping a watch 24x7. Warning boards have also been planted for the public to stay away from the area. Security guards have been appointed to keep a check and to alert the public as well.
