India expects 1st batch of J&J Covid vaccine doses by October
The drug regulator of India provided emergency authorisation to Jhonson & Jhonson vaccine last month in August.

Around 43.5 million doses of the single shot vaccine are expected in October.
It may also be noted that the Indian government has not yet signed any supply deal with Jhonson & Jhonson.
India is expecting its first batch of Jhonson & Jhonson Covid vaccine by October. The drug regulator of India had provided its emergency authorization to J&J last month.
Jhonson & Jhonson Covid vaccine is a single shot vaccine and around 43.5 million doses are likely to arrive next month. The vaccine is filled and finished in India by a partner of the US drugmaker.
It may however be noted that the Indian government has not yet signed any deal with J & J related to supplies of the vaccine. Bio-E will do the formulation and make 5 ml vials, the sources revealed.
