India Neutralises Pak Drone Attacks
Government has confirmed Pakistani aggression; no loss of lives have been reported
May 8, 2025 - The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff has said that military stations of Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur in proximity to the international boundary in Jammu & Kashmir have been targeted by Pakistan using missiles and drones. Government has confirmed Pakistani aggression and the Army has confirmed that its stations are under attack. However, no loss of lives have been reported.
Blackouts and sirens were activated across the region with sirens also going off in Akhnoor, Samba, Baramulla and Kupwara.
Drones and missiles were fired by Pakistan at Udhampur base. Military bases in Jammu and Pathankot have been targeted, reports say.
Government sources say all threats have been neutralised and it is fully prepared to ensure safety of all Indians... fully prepared to defend India’s sovereignty.
As per reports, three Pakistani fighters have been shot down.
Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir schools and colleges have been shut down.
Yesterday, May 7, Indian launched Operation Sindoor against terror camps based in Pakistan and PoK. Following the missile attacks, the Pakistan Army resorted to heavy artillery and mortar shelling on villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least 12 civillians and a soldier.
