The Indian Department of Posts launched waterproof envelopes to meet the need of sending ‘Rakhi’ in the monsoon season. The new envelopes are available at various post offices across nation.

These specialized envelopes can be used with the required stamps and sent across cities. The Superintendent at Udaipur post office informed that the specialized envelopes have a decorative picture of ‘Rakhi’ to differentiate them from the ordinary ones.

This is an attempt to distribute envelopes on a faster level for the eve of ‘Raksha Bandhan.’
