May 10, 2025 - In an early morning escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan, India fired ballistic missiles at Pakistan targeting four airbases, including Nur Khan base, Rafiqui airbase and the one in Jhang, say reports.
Explosions and air raid sirens were heard in Kashmir and Punjab. According to military sources, drones were sighted in 26 locations and Pakistan missiles have been intercepted in Barmer and Jaisalmer. The drone locatons include Baramulla, Srinagar, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Baramulla and Bhuj. Amritsar administration is under red alert.
India military sources say Pakistan had fired Fatah-1 missile at India which it shot down.
Reports say three people were injured in a drone strike in Ferozepur, Punjab. A senior Jammu government officer was killed in Rajouri and 10 people were injured in shelling in Naushera.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Civil Aviation has said it is closing its airspace from 03:15 am on Saturday until 12 noon owing to the latest attacks.
