Udaipur, January 29, 2025: The ‘Sarhad Se Samandar’ motorcycle expedition, organized by the Indian Coast Guard on its 49th Foundation Day, reached Udaipur on January 28, 2025. The rally started from Attari on January 22 and was flagged off from Udaipur on January 29 at 7:45 AM by the Commander of the Trimshat Brigade, Battle Axe Division. The rally will reach Kevadia, Gujarat, by the evening of January 29.
Grand Welcome in Udaipur
The rally was given a grand welcome at Udaipur City Palace by educationists, social workers, and Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of the erstwhile royal family. The expedition is led by Commandant Shyam Sundar and Commandant Sandeep Shukla.
Deputy Commandant Gaurav Acharya stated that the rally will pass through various cities and villages of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The team will organize events to directly connect with the people, fostering mutual trust, respect, and national unity.
The Indian Coast Guard is not only responsible for protecting maritime borders but also for providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief. This rally aims to strengthen the connection between rural and urban India, making every citizen feel a part of the nation’s progress.
The rally will raise awareness about government schemes like "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," "Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao," and "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan." Interactive sessions will be held in schools and colleges to inspire youth to join the armed forces.
