Udaipur, March 15, 2025 - India has added six more sites to UNESCO’s tentative list of World Heritage Sites. These include national parks, ancient temples, and historic monuments. For the first time, India hosted a World Heritage Committee meeting in 2024. During the event, the Moidams (mound-burials of the Ahom Dynasty in Assam) received the UNESCO World Heritage tag.
Kanger Valley National Park (Chhattisgarh)
Mudumal Megalithic Menhirs (Telangana)
Ashokan Edict Sites (Multiple States)
Chausath Yogini Temples (Multiple States)
Gupta Temples in North India (Multiple States)
Palace-Fortresses of Bundelas (Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh)
