Afsar Hussain, who landed in Udaipur last Monday, January 30,2023, following a series of errors, has received a refund from IndiGo for the Delhi-Patna flight cost paid by him. It is said that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating measures to guarantee that a situation like "wrong passenger on incorrect flight" doesn't occur again.
When pre-takeoff announcements describing the distance and flying time to the aircraft's destination are given, authorities are baffled as to how the passengers managed to board the wrong flight and then apparently did not notice the same.
“IndiGo has refunded the airfare to Hussain.” said by multiple people. In other words, the traveller took three flights for the price of none last Monday: Delhi-Udaipur, Udaipur-Delhi, and lastly Delhi-Patna.
