Udaipur, May 9, 2025: As per media reports, the Indians have made it clear to their hostile neighbors, that India is in full control of its airspace and and advanced air defence network, that is capable of 'detecting, jamming and eliminating threats before they breach' protects its skies, water and land. This was an unequivocal message delivered to Pakistan and other hostile non-state actors (aka terrorists).

The Indian Air Force, neutralised two waves of drone missile attacks by the Pakistan armed forces, that were intended to cause damage to Indian military installations in Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.

Pakistan began its misadventure in the late hours of May 7 and through the night across May 8, after the Indian armed forces launched and executed Operation Sindoor to destroy 9 'authenticated' terror camps in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. The first attack happened in the late night hours of May 7 and continued till early morning on May 8. In the first attack the drones (missiles) targetted 15 military establishments in as many cities on the border, but were thwarted in mid air by a combination of air defence systems namely the integrated C-UAS (integrated Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems). There was  counterattack from India where Israel made HARPY drones disabled Pakistan's air defence.

In the next attack towards the evening on May 8, the drone attacks were thwarted in mid-air using the Indian developed Akash missile defence system,which is akin to Israel's Iron Dome, as per NDTV. India's Air defence systems also include the Russian made S-400 deployed along the Indo-Pak border.

The effective defence against enemy drone and missile attack and the accuracy of the projectiles defines India's authority over its skies - India not only defends its skies...she also owns the skies?"
