1 year of jail has been awarded to husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law in a case of dowry. As reported by a woman, she was asked to get a car and one lakh rupees as dowry by the above mentioned people much after she got married. Later they even kicked her out of the house along with her daughter. Since then, the woman is living with her parents.

She reported that her husband used to beat her a lot and even threatened to kill her with knife. He even left her with her in-laws and went to live in Assam. Court has sentenced these 3 people viz. husband Kamlesh Sukhwal, father-in-law HariOm Sukhwal and mother-in-law Premlata Sukhwal to one year jail and penalty of 2000 rupees each under IPC Section 498(A) and 6 months jail and 1 thousand rupees each under Section 406.
