In response to the tragic fire incident at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, which claimed the lives of 28 individuals, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation's fire department has taken proactive measures to ensure safety in local entertainment venues. Under the leadership of Fire Officer Babulal Chaudhary, the team conducted thorough inspections at game zones located within the Celebration Mall and Urban Square Mall in Udaipur.

During the inspections, emphasis was placed on verifying the functionality of fire suppression equipment and assessing overall safety protocols. While the fire suppression systems were found to be in place, concerns were raised regarding the lack of documentation regarding electrical loads corresponding to the installed machinery and wiring.

In Rajkot, the game zone was made of things that could easily catch fire like fabric, wood, and tin. The Udaipur team looked at other places like this to be sure they were not dangerous. In Rajkot, there were also things on the floor that could burn quickly like rubber and resin. Plus, there was diesel and petrol, which made the fire spread fast.

Despite initial concerns, the inspections revealed satisfactory safety measures in place at the Udaipur malls. Functional fire suppression systems and additional evacuation gates were observed, enhancing the overall safety preparedness.

However, the fire department has requested detailed technical reports, including photographs, specifying the capacity of all machinery installed within the game zones.

Jaipur Municipal Corporation also conducted surprise checks at gaming zones in the city on Sunday, May 26,2024. After discovering that fire safety rules were being ignored, the municipal corporation sealed six gaming zones at a mall in Jhotwara.

Officials from JMC Greater revealed that they inspected eight game zones in the city. Shockingly, six of these zones in Jhotwara were found to have major irregularities. The sealed gaming zones lacked fire safety certificates and adequate firefighting equipment.
