Insufficient water in dams providing drinking water
More rain showers needed to fill the dams supplying drinking water to a vast ar
Though the lakes of Udaipur are getting a good flow of water now, yet the issue is that of the dams which are the main sources of drinking water. Despite a good rainfall, Gorana Dam under the Mansi Vakal project still needs 200 mcft of water. Water available as of now is merely 225 mcft as compared to its capacity of 862 mcft. If the dam gets at least 200 mcft in this monsoon, the water can be supplied once in 48 hours.
