Internet has slowed down irritatingly during the lockdown period. The net speed is so low that mobile net, broadbands etc. are of no use and hang most of the time.

The upload speed has noted a downfall of 17% whereas the download speed has gone down by 36% percent. Most of the people are working from home and this has added to the internet users. Not just work from home, but streaming and online games, video conferencing, virtual schooling etc. are also adding to the slow internet speed. The usage of net has increased tremendously in the past one month. 

UAE is being considered on the top in internet speed. It has a download speed of 83.52mbps. Singapore tops in the list of broadband speed. 

India has gown down in the list of global speed index. In the list of mobile internet speed, India was at 130th position in March which was 128 in February. In global broadband speed Indian stands at 71st place. The data of internet speed has been issued by Ookla, the company that checks internet speed.
