Udaipur, January 29, 2025 - The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) made history on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 by successfully launching its 100th rocket from Sriharikota. This rocket carried a navigation satellite into space. ISRO launched a GSLV-F15 rocket carrying the NVS-02 navigation satellite. The launch took place at 6:23 AM from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. After 19 minutes, the satellite reached its planned orbit at 322.93 km above Earth.
This was ISRO's 100th rocket launch from Sriharikota.
ISRO has launched six types of rockets over the years.
A total of 548 satellites (weighing 120 tonnes) have been placed in space, including 433 foreign satellites.
