According to some unofficial sources, a common black backed Jackal has been reported to be seen around the District Collector’s residence near Court Circle.

The news reached to media as the Forest department officials visited District Collector’s residential campus to capture the Jackal, but the animal hid himself around some bushes in the campus and after waiting for long time, when the animal didn’t come to sight, the department officials returned empty handed.

Some of these black baked Jackals and Civets are common in the city area, like some of the Muslim Graveyards, Moti Magri, Railway Training Campus and some parts of Hiran Magri and Rampura Area.
