In a Lake Lovers meet, Padma Bhushan recipient Jagat Mehta, Former Foreign Secretary and President of the Lake Conservation Committee has strongly appealed to the people of our city to do their bit for conserving our Lakes.

While citing the need to saving our lakes, he said that he would personally go out and stop people from littering around the lakes and the encroachments near the lakeside, but due to old age and inability to walk, he is not able to do so and therefore appealing to the people.

He expressed his concerns on the faulty infrastructure near the Lakes, and the damaged boundaries of Swaroop Sagar.

Dr. Tej Rajdan, Anil Mehta, Nandkishor Sharma, Tej Shankar Paliwal, Banwar Singh Rajawat, Haji Sardar Mohammad and Gopal Singh Rajawat were also present at the meet.
