Japanese Government has awarded a financial grant for building hostel for underprivileged girls in Udaipur. The fund will be awarded to Rajasthan Bal Kalyan Samiti for building the hostel.

 

Japan Government provides grant to build hostel in Udaipur

Japanese Government has awarded a financial grant for building hostel for underprivileged girls in Udaipur. The fund will be awarded to Rajasthan Bal Kalyan Samiti for building the hostel.

The fund has been provided under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects. The project cost sanctioned is 8 million Yen (~46.7 lakhs). Construction of girl’s hostel will provide safe and healthy educational environment to the underprivileged girls, said the Japanese Embassy.

The contract was signed between Rajasthan Bal Kalyan Samiti and Kenji Hiramatsu, Japan’s Ambassador to India.

Hiramatsu said that they hoped that the project will improve life of people of India via expansion of education for underpriviledged girls and will also help in improving relations between Japan and India.
