Cash-strapped Jet Airways on Wednesday said it has cancelled multiple flights for February 28 due to operational issues.

Flights 9W837 from Delhi to Udaipur and flight no 9W 838 from Udaipur to Delhi have been cancelled on 28-Feb-2019.

The flights to and from Udaipur, New Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bangkok, Chennai, Pune, Coimbatore, Indore, Kathmandu, among other key cities are cancelled, the airline said in a statement.

Jet Airways has also cancelled its Bengaluru-Thrivanthanapuram and Thiruvanthanapuram-Bengaluru connectivity between March 30 till October 26, citing the same reason.

The airline further added that another 77 flights were cancelled due to the closure of a Mumbai Airport runway until March 30 for maintenance and repair work.

The cancellations come at a time when the debt-laden carrier is trying to stay afloat. State Bank of India is set to meet Jet Airways promoter Naresh Goyal and top executives of Etihad Airways, which owns 24 percent in the Indian airline, in Mumbai today.

The airline may be forced to ground 42 of its aircraft, almost one-third of its fleet of 123 planes, by the end of the month due to operational issues.

It was earlier reported that the airline was unable to lease or sell some of its aircraft to TruJet to raise money to cut debt.
