The periphery of the entire Jogi Talab is set to have plantation done within this monsoon cycle with the objective of converting it into yet another tourist spot in the city of lakes.

A tree plantation programme was organised at Jogi Talab with State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria as the Chief Guest. The periphery of the entire Jogi Talab is set to have plantation done within this monsoon cycle with the objective of converting it into yet another tourist spot in the city of lakes.

During the plantation ceremony UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali gave Kataria a complete debrief on the plantation programme around the periphery and also updates on the progress of residential planning around the area.

Recently, an 840 mtr long and 40 ft wide ring road has been created around the lake at a cost of Rs 43 Lakhs. Plans are also on for greening the small hills around the lake with the objective of converting this into a tourist spot in times of come.

During the programme, Kataria also carried out a survey of the affordable housing units that are being constructed around the area. Shrimali informed that a lottery for house allocation has already been done and the selected people have also been allotted the flats.
